And NLP can (and should) be part of every copywriter’s toolkit. How can NLP be used by copywriters to increase conversions? The same principles apply. As a writer, you need to establish trust with your audience, build rapport, gain influence with your readers’ unconscious mind. For anchoring to work, you’ve got to get into the right mindset and this is where the accessing states model comes in. At the iNLP Center, students have had profound experiences with accessing states.

Essentially, accessing states is a collection of methods that take you straight into the mindset you identify as most useful at any given moment. You can follow with an anchor if it’s a state you want to return to easily.

The Meta Model

The Meta Model is a language tool that helps you dig into specifics. NLP purports that when people talk, their words represent the surface structure. When people express themselves, there is always more to the story. As both a sales pro and a copywriter, you need to get deeper into your clients’ mindset in order to have more influence. That’s what the Meta Model is for.
