If you’re like me, you love to get shit done, but often feel like a total loser.
Because you can’t get shit done!
Further, you’re driving yourself to the brink of insanity as you wonder whether or not you are productive. One the one hand, you’ve accomplished a lot. You’re prospering in life.
(If you’re not prospering, this post is no longer for you).
On the other hand, there is SO MUCH MORE you’d like to do. Your days may feel a bit scattered and unproductive. You wonder: WTF? Am I an unproductive flakey loser (UFL) or a production machine that churns out successes left and right (compared to most people)?
And (of course) you are asking the wrong questions.
If you feel like you can’t get shit done yet are successful in life, then here is the question you must ask yourself:
How can I give myself more credit for what I do?~ go ahead….ask it
Under these circumstances, they key is to feel productive and stop worrying about whether you actually are productive.
I know this sounds insane, right? If you forget all about measuring your productivity objectively, won’t you step off a proverbial cliff of self-indulgence? Won’t you end up under a bridge?
If you’re not prosperous, then, yeah, maybe. You should measure your productivity objectively, work your ass off and hope to get as much shit done as possible.
But if you’re prosperous, then you can consider yourself productive enough for anyone. That’s a safe bet. And if you take one more step and write down a list of your accomplishments, you might even be impressed with yourself.
